A one-page diagnostic for working out which kind of decision you’re actually facing — and which discipline deserves the next hour of attention.
Most teams don’t have one decision in front of them. They have three or four, tangled together, sharing a calendar and a budget. The Decision Map is a one-page tool for separating them out, naming each one honestly, and routing each one to the right kind of analysis.
It started as a sketch we kept redrawing on whiteboards in client rooms. Enough sessions ended with the same question — "wait, are we trying to validate this, model it, or just instrument it?" — that we wrote it down. The PDF is the cleaned-up version.
